Workshop screen printing

Together with Sofie Hermans, the 2nd year students in Fashion Design 3-day project of screen printing techniques. First, several designs were made on the computer, and then taken over onto the screens. By combining all sorts of printing techniques, beautiful results were achieved.

Knitting week

The 3rd year students in fashion and textile design both had a workweek in knitting techniques with Maartje Boer.

The textile design students learnt about novel techniques on the knitting machines, such as rib knitting, 3 dimensional knitting, lace, woven knits, and tuck and skip stitch techniques.
They designed all kinds of samples in different yarns. The result was an experimental collection of swatches.

The fashion students learnt more about the construction of knitted garments.
For instance: panels, trimmings, ribs, collars.
They will apply these techniques in their upcoming mens wear collection or the graduation collection next year.

Drawing week with Kate Harreveld

A week full of drawing, painting and collage techniques to develop fashionable illustrations. Kate Harreveld worked with both the 2nd and 3rd years in Fashion and in Textile Design. The results where marvellous!
